We propose a novel method that employs electromagnetic fields to heat carbon fibers inside a composite part and degrade the matrix away, in contrast to existing approaches, which need considerable utilities, emissions, capital costs, and operational costs. This allows us to reclaim, recycle, and reuse carbon fibers.
