As one of the industries that got most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Tourism Organization of Greece cooperated with Google to create an online campaign “Greece From Home” – Greece travel via internet to deliver online content to build relationships with potential customers.
Through Youtube videos and other content, viewers can visit museums, archaeological sites, experience the natural beauty of the beautiful Mediterranean land, and can even visit some famous restaurants in Greece. All of the above activities are done easily over the internet.
The campaign is so successful that the billionaire Bill Gate must admitted “very smart” because he can utilize existing digital platforms to create relationships with prospective customers. On the one hand, the content creators can generate revenue through advertising, and by selling related products. On the other hand, this is a great way to stay connected with tourists to generate further revenue when Greece is ready to reopen.
