Environmental exposure and lung health monitoring device

  • Exposure to long-term air pollution is well-known to trigger and/or exacerbate adverse lung diseases thus leading to emergency visits, and frequent hospital visits.
  • The technology is a wearable device (the “canAIRY”) that continuously monitors a patient’s ambient environment, physical activity, body temperature, geographic location, and respiratory function.
  • It is anticipated that the use of the canAIRY health monitoring system will reduce asthma attacks and COPD exacerbations by 36%, which in turn will decrease hospital emergency room visits and admissions by 27%.
