This technology is an aluminum battery that uses an aluminum metal anode and oxygen from the air in a cathode to give around 2.7 volts and substantial power using an AL chloride aluminum potassium chloride eutectic salt electrolyte at 93 or 137C.

Background:
The world is currently dependent on fossil fuels for many daily purposes, including for fueling vehicles. It is estimated that if we continue to burn fossil fuels at our current rate, all fossil fuels will be depleted by the year 2060. Based on that prediction, it is becoming more clear that gasoline-based vehicles are not sustainable and the importance of alternative options for vehicles is more prevalent. For that reason, electric vehicles have become increasingly popular. However, lithium-ion is the most commonly used battery in electric cars currently, which has been shown to be harmful to the environment. This technology introduces a more sustainable alternative to lithium-ion batteries to be used in electric vehicles by instead using an aluminum-air battery.
